FREE ZONE INAUGURATED. Economy
Minister Ing. Miguel Lacayo on April 9 inaugurated the new
Miramar Free Zone at Km. 30.5 on the road leading to the
Comalpa international airport. The new industrial park, in
its first phase, is planned for 44,000 sq. meters. It
already houses several major manufacturing companies,
including: Central American Cutting Center; IBIS of El
Salvador (subsidiary of a Mexican firm); Juki of Japan;
